It might haven’t been heard by everyone, but besides our own music we have been performing cover songs and functioning as the house band in Arin Baari since September. The deal is that once a month we have two events at Arin Baari. Every first friday in the month we are the host-band performing a mix of cover songs and originals, with a different guest artist opening the night at 7pm.

Perjantai Klubi on 01.11
On 01.11 the city had many events going on, so it was one of the quieter nights for our Perjantai Klubi. Nonetheless we still had fun. We had a dance crew with us, closing out the night with a dance routine of our cover of Feelin’ so fly by TobyMac.
We had “Vapaa Sana” as opening guest artist. She is a spoken word artist with a powerful set and beautiful personal stories of her overcoming cancer, for example.

Vapaa Sana was followed up with Jade performing her single she released that day.
Listen to her single here -> Jade’s Single
Our own set was good fun and we are happy for anyone who joined in with clapping, cheering and dancing. Thank you for making the night special! Hope to see you next time!

Remember that the next Perjantai Klubi is on the 06.12 with the Wisla – band! We will celebrate the Finnish Independence Day together and hope to see you for some sweet live music.

Sunnuntai Jamit
–
Sunday Jam
Every first Sunday of the month (18:00 – 20:00) we are running Open stage nights. We are having a houseband to start the night off, after that we clear the stage for the talent in the crowd to take over. If you are interested in performing at the said Open stage, approach Taavi who is the MC of the night, taking care of the performing slots available. We hope that “Sunnuntai Jamit” will grow to a regular event where live music gets celebrated and people have the opportunity to come together and cheer on one another. We want to highlight the fact that no one is expected to be perfect on stage. There is no high bar to prevent you from joining the stage. We are providing drums, keyboard, guitars and amps available to be used if you need one.
On 03.11. we had our premiere of the said open stage night. As a slow start unfolded, one by one we had singer songwriters claim the stage one by one and we even had an impromptu dance session with an old Karelian folk song. The house band started off the night with “Something in C-major”-jam, some covers, followed up by several singers from the audience.
Karaoke will continue after the jam night. Hope to see you on 8th!

ColourCollide is having a gig on 14.12. at Sarvi Pubi in Rovaniemi, more info on that coming soon.
